STONE PARISH COUNCIL
Due to overwhelming demand at Stone Pavilion, a new vacancy has arisen to support the team at the council's new facility in Stone. Office Administrator (Stone Pavilion), 20 hours per week, including evening and weekend work to support activities.
£17,161-£20,858 plus local allowance £787 (pro-rata)
Benefits include: Local Government Pension Scheme, 33 days annual leave (including bank Holidays) rising to 38 days after five years qualifying service.The post holder will undertake a key role as Office Administrator providing administrative support to ensure excellent customer service and effective daily operation of the facility. This will include front of house cover; processing bookings and enquiries in connection with council facilities; and support for activities and events, including the annual Stone Fete . Candidates will be required to have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience of working with the public. The role would suit an efficient, self-motivated Administrator able to work flexibly around the needs of the facility. Closing date for applications is Friday 10 February 2011. GREAT CHART WITH SINGLETON PARISH COUNCIL
has a vacancy for a Parish Clerk. The Parish Council needs a forward-looking, self-reliant and committed person who will work for the long-term benefit of our community. The Clerk is the Parish Council’s ‘engine room’ and deals with a variety of tasks. As Parish Councils take on more responsibility for local services the role is becoming increasingly managerial, varied and challenging. The ideal candidate will have good organisational and computer skills and be a good communicator with an understanding and commitment to equal opportunities and diversity. Previous experience in the legal and financial frameworks and procedures relating to local councils is desirable although training will be provided and ongoing as legislation changes. Duties include publishing meeting agendas, producing minutes, liaising with outside bodies, actioning the council’s decisions and managing the finances of the council. The new Clerk, if not already qualified, will be required to take the CiLCA professional qualification. We would consider job share with one person taking the role of the Clerk and the other being the Responsible Financial Officer. While currently seeking office premises, it may be necessary in the first instance to work from home. The hours will be about 0.75 of a full contract, with some evening work involved to service meetings. SUNDRIDGE WITH IDE HILL PARISH COUNCIL
has a vacancy for a Part time Clerk. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the Part-Time Position of Clerk to the Sundridge with Ide Hill Parish Council. The Parish is within the Sevenoaks District area. The Clerk is also the financial officer and is therefore responsible for all the financial accounting and it would be helpful to have a good understanding of bookkeeping. You will also be responsible for correspondence, agendas and minutes of meetings all of which are held in the evenings.
