Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Beacons 2012 – Kent Fire & Rescue Event Guidance
Kent Fire & Rescue Service is in full support of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Beacons celebration. They look forward to seeing people enjoying themselves safely at events throughout Kent and have published guidance for those who are planning any event to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The guidance is available on the KALC website and is also being sent by e-mail to all member Councils.

The Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Viscount De L'Isle MBE will be holding his annual Civic Service at Rochester Cathedral on
Tuesday 6th March 2012 commencing at 11.00 am. The purpose of the Service is to celebrate the great contribution
made by Local Authority Mayors, Chairmen and Town Mayors during their civic year and to acknowledge the hard work
carried out by local Parish Councils within their communities.
The invitation is to all Parish Councils (Countywide) and will be for you and your spouse/guest or a representative from the Parish Council ie. your Vice Chairman or
Clerk perhaps.
To attend the Service it is important to return the attached form (link below) by post to: Miss Jo Holmes, Executive Officer to the Kent Lieutenancy,
Civic Office, Sessions House, County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ or fax to: 01622 694089. The form
should be returned no later than Friday 27th January 2012 to indicate availability. Numbers are limited within the
Cathedral and tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Therefore to avoid disappointment, it is advisable
to return the form as soon as possible. If Jo does not hear from you by the given date, it will be assumed you are not
attending. Tickets will be sent out nearer the time.
