AYLESFORD PARISH COUNCIL
Applications are invited for the post of Full Time Parish Clerk/ Responsible Financial Officer for this large Parish Council. The successful candidate will carry out the statutory duties of the Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer to the Council along with the administrative responsibilities in running this active parish council. Experience of local government, either in or associated with the local council sector will be an advantage.
Experience of land management, surveying or facilities management would be preferable.
The successful candidate will be capable of dealing with stakeholders at all levels including members of the public, contractors and local government officials with appropriate tact and diplomacy. The candidate will also be computer literate and will be required to actively promote the work of the Parish Council through a variety of channels including social media. Duties will include attending evening Council meetings and other meetings as required.
The salary range for the role is £29,236 - £32,800 pa (37 hour week) dependant on experience.

EYTHORNE PARISH COUNCIL (Near Dover)
EYTHORNE PARISH COUNCIL (near Dover) has a vacancy for a Clerk/Proper Officer/Responsible Financial Officer. The position will be based at the Parish Council office at the Elvington Community Centre. The hours of work are during the week days, up to 15 hours at the Centre and the remaining 5 hours a week either from home or covering
meetings, including any evening meetings. The Clerk/Proper Officer/Responsible Financial Officer responsibilities will include liaison with parishioners, agencies, and other local authorities, financial and administrative duties including correspondence, minute taking, project management, budgeting and year end accounts. Excellent office and administrative skills are required as are competent IT skills. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday
of the month in the evenings. Remunerations and conditions of Employment are in accordance with the National Agreement on Pay and Conditions of service of the National Joint Council for Local Government Services. Salary and benefits: £10.49 to £11.54 per hour (up to NALC LC2 pt 26) depending on experience. BURMARSH PARISH COUNCIL
The Parish Council for the small village of Burmarsh on the Romney Marsh needs to appoint a replacement Clerk & RFO in the next few months. Candidates should have satisfactory experience in these roles and be able to work at home with access to a computer and the internet. The pay is £1,608 pa for 15 hours a month.

ICKHAM & WELL PARISH COUNCIL
ICKHAM & WELL Parish Council has a vacancy for the post of Parish Clerk commencing on 1st August 2013.
This is an important position which includes being the Responsible Financial Officer of the Parish Council.
An ideal candidate will already have knowledge and experience as a Parish Clerk. However, other candidates will be considered. The post is part-time being 12 hours per month working from home. The successful candidate will need to be computer literate providing their own computer equipment and have access to the internet.
The Council has 6 meetings throughout the year with additional Planning meetings when the need arises and occasional site meetings. Duties will include:-
Preparation of agendas, reports and minutes for meetings of the Council, being familiar with meeting procedures and codes, maintaining the Council’s files and correspondence. As Responsible Financial Officer keeping records of financial transactions, budget and audit returns. Remuneration and conditions of Employment are in accordance with the National Agreement on Pay and conditions of service of the National Joint Council for Local Government Services. Starting salary would be Scale LC1 Point 15 - £8.34 per hour. Paid monthly. An allowance to be paid for telephone use, Internet access & use of home as an office. Training will be available.

KENARDINGTON PARISH COUNCIL
A vacancy has arisen for a Parish Clerk and RFO to the Parish Council of Kenardington.
- An ideal candidate will already have knowledge and experience as a Parish Clerk.
- Normal duties include preparation of agendas and reports to Council, preparation of minutes, maintenance of the Councils website
- To be familiar with meeting procedures and able to take minutes, prepare reports and write letters on behalf of the Council;
- Maintain the Council's files and to be familiar with the Parish and its activities.
- Normal duties as RFO include maintaining the cash book and preparation of the annual return to the audit commission and preparation of VAT claims
- The successful applicant will be computer literate (laptop to be provided if necessary) and required to work from home for 12 hours per month . This is a monthly salaried post paid at the appropriate Local Government scale
- Final appointment will be subject to a satisfactory probationary period.
